St Peters Roman Catholic Church
When the well-established congregation of St. Peters began outgrowing its current facilities, they began planning for another much much larger complex. It was at that point that GPPA was engaged by St. Peters to support them through their planning process. This allowed the client and GPPA to establish a more lineal project evolution process that would help assure the success of the project at every stage. This massive 3 stage project consists of the building of an 800 person capacity multipurpose hall, a large expandable church and a considerable Roman Catholic School; all on a new vacant site in the North end of Winnipeg. In this case, GPPA prepared performance specifications and project outlines consisting of guidelines to RC design, space function diagrams, site studies, room data sheets, outline specifications, budgets and project schedules among many other documents. The drawing that you see here represents the first stage of the development. Not only is the project being delivered on schedule, it has been tendered and came in below budget and this, without losing a single space or function that was described within the documents prepared by GPPA.
